About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to grow their technical skills while supporting day-to-day IT operations, help desk services, and project work. You’ll work closely with the System Administrator and IT Manager, providing support across New Zealand and Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Respond to and resolve ServiceNow help desk tickets within agreed SLAs.
- Deploy, configure, and dispatch IT equipment to stores and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory and process related invoices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
- Support the System Administrator on infrastructure and software projects.
- Collaborate with Australian IT teams to resolve cross-regional issues.
- Participate in IT initiatives and projects as directed by the IT Manager.
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with IT policies.
About you:
- Experience in an IT support or help desk role.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Basic knowledge of Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certificate or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience supporting remote or multi-site teams, desirable.
- Exposure to IT projects and deployments, desirable.
