Harvey Norman has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Reconciliation Clerk to join our AP Trade team! This a 12 month fixed-term, full-time position located at our Manukau Head Office, working Monday-Friday.
Key responsibilities:
- Reconcile assigned trade supplier statements monthly.
- Research discrepancies to ensure accuracy and resolution of issues prior to processing.
- Liaise with relevant store Administration teams and Managers to follow up on outstanding queries to ensure accounts are processed in a timely manner.
- Contact suppliers for copies of outstanding invoices/credit notes, and regarding issue(s) arising from the reconciliation of the statement, following through until the issue(s) are resolved.
- Support other team members as required, particularly during half year end and year end.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and focused on resolving supplier account issues in a timely manner. You will genuinely enjoy reconciling and making sure everything is correct and accurate.
What we are looking for:
- At least 1-year accounts payable experience in medium to large enterprises involving multiple business sites, including, reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
- Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong mathematics skills; numbers astute.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and people skills, great team player
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and control own workload in a fast paced, often pressured, deadline driven environment.
- Strong organisational skills. Comfortable performing repetitious tasks on a monthly cyclical basis.
- Investigative mind with solid judgement, analytical and critical thinking skills. Anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks. Ability to provide relevant solutions to problems.
