Put your communication and reporting skills to the test in this Reporting Analyst role, in our Manukau Support Office! This full-time, Monday to Friday position will assist the Business Intelligence team with the identification and development of reports to deliver crucial information to achieve business goals!

About the Role

The focus of the reporting analyst is to scope out business reporting needs and transform this into data. You will need to document the requirements, method, and results of analysis activities, as well as assist others to learn the basics of reporting.

Some key tasks will include:

  • Identify and manipulate applicable data to transform for analytical use. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and deconstruct information into readily understandable and useful information.  Provide recommendations from results to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Gather and analyse the reporting requirements and other relevant information
  • Conduct workshops with the business users in gathering the reporting requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications that document the desired outcome of report developments or enhancements
  • Meet with users to gather inputs and analyse end user requirements associated with reporting and information initiatives
  • Verify end user requirements and report information and service needs to the relevant business units.

About You

We are looking for an organised professional who can work autonomously and in a team.

Some attributes we are looking for include:

  • Experience in a retail environment
  • Experience with SAP BI tools like Business Objects, Dashboards, BW, HANA
  • Reporting experience and the ability to evaluate business opportunities systematically.
  • Advanced report writing skills
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of databases and analysis tools
  • Customer focused and comfortable in approaching and presenting at all levels
  • A well-ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles or resistance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and must be able to work to deadlines
